ShiftKey, founded in Dallas in 2016, is a marketplace where licensed healthcare professionals (CNAs, LPNs, RNs, therapists and dental staff) work as independent contractors and bid on per diem shifts at facilities, naming the hourly rate they want. Facilities include skilled nursing, assisted living, hospitals and health systems, behavioral health and dental practices across 120+ markets. Professionals invoice each shift in the app and can be paid weekly by direct deposit or within moments of shift verification through ShiftKey Wallet for a $2.95 per-payment fee; benefits access is offered through a Stride Health partnership.
