Medely is a Santa Monica-based healthcare labor marketplace, founded in 2016, where nurses and allied professionals (including CNAs with at least six months of experience) book per diem shifts, local assignments and travel contracts at hospitals, surgery centers, clinics and post-acute facilities. Professionals work as independent contractors (1099) and pay no fees to use the platform. Per diem earnings are paid out by direct deposit several times a week; assignments are paid weekly.
