CareRev, founded in 2015 by former trauma nurse Will Patterson, is an acute-care-focused marketplace where RNs, CNAs, LPNs and techs claim per diem shifts as 1099 independent contractors at partner hospitals, health systems, outpatient centers and skilled nursing facilities. Facilities post shifts to the app, professionals claim and work them, and earnings are paid by direct deposit twice a week. CareRev reports more than 35,000 professionals and 500+ hospitals and health systems; it was acquired by IntelyCare in January 2026 and continues to operate as a separate brand.
